Andrew picked me up from school today since im carless (b/c im a bad daughter apparently...but i get it back on friday) and we're chillin at my house...i decide the formula needs to be started...its been a few months...so, we pulled andrew's camaro up, unpinned the hood, i got the jumper cables out...and away we went, and she fired up...idled really low at first, let her warm up a bit, then gave it some gas...pretty quiet for a 305 and flowmaster...no duals though..we'll work on that eventually...i have coolant leaking from the thermostat housing...i need to retap the threads on it...stripped them when replacing the thermostat in september...

the car honestly hasnt been started in a good 3 months...so from now on, i'll be a little nicer. and she now lives on a battery charger...also fired up the 84 today...engine knock was real bad until she warmed up...

so my third gens live! lol. the formula will be road worthy soon...starting body work soon...hoping the weather stay decent....

I can't remember how long it was since I evenmoved mine. My son tried a few times to start it, but kids these days have no idea what a stuck choke is. I did get it running a couple weeks ago but I guess two sets of rims and tires behind it and the F'd up brakes, I'm too lazy to move it more than a foot. lol.

yea...i had a dream i took the 84 out on the road last night...illegally...i think i just pulled the plate off the 00 and slapped it on the 84 and prayed no one would see my expired stickers...haha.

alex, refer to my parts list in the parts section...the 88 formy is very minimal...rear is leaking, but not horribly, thermostat housing is leaking coolant and when i get on the throttle, it sprays it everywhere, synchros need to be replaced...other then that, i wont know until i drive it...

the 84 needs everything...completely new drivetrain practically lol.

no, its really not. im doing body work in the spring...complete repaint...for $800...it really is a solid car. my ex disagrees, but hes gay, so its ok lol. and if he ever reads this, im just messin. he thinks it needs more...if it does, ill find out when something goes wrong and ill fix it...

I want to donate to the "ali omalley will donate her TIME to wripping that god awful interior out of the car and driving the formula and teach liz and andrew how to operate the mechanics of a stick shift" fund.

Thats awesome,

I started the 86 up after a few months, put air in the tires and pulled it out of the yard and been driving it all week. Inspection is expired but I don't really care. As long as the registration/insurance is still good I'm not all that worried. It still looks like hell though .....

I went through F-body withdraw since the 96 is at the body shop so the 86 is giving me my fix... :) If i don't get that back soon, I may expect to be crusing in the turdgen to the meet.....

Still amazes me that it runs as good as it does considering me and rob frankensteined two cars together to make it in my driveway, in a weekend.

Didnt have time to read everything, been busy with work. Here's her car doing my car  Maybe some of my good old LS1 power will rub off on her engine.

Seeing a few third gens on this board makes me miss my old 3rd gen lol ..well mostly the system in it haha. I dont know how some of you guys find the time to work with so many cars at once though... its hard enough for me to work on one :x

hah...i do like...thermastat, cap and rotor in the formula, rip out the interior in the 84 bird and repaint and half install it all back in...while ripping out the rear carpet...then install a head unit in the 00, and now alot of body work will be happening in the course of a few months between the 00 and the 88...im thinking of letting the 00 sleep earlier and pull the formula out earlier...like....feb/april ish...this has been a really mild winter...its so friggin warm out...maybe ill go out and work on the formula's electronic cut out and untangle some of the spider webbing in there...its a friggin mess...then put my dash back together...weeee...time to find a stock shifter and get rid of the gay ass ricer shit...

point being is...i can never focus on one car...and im still considering buying yet ANOTHER project...but right now im broker then broke...if only i stuck with one...it would be fucking kick ass...

i'm on the fence about doing work on my iroc, because i parked it for winter, and it's been nice enough to work on it, but i guarantee as soon as i do, we'll go into a deep freeze and i'll have to quit within 48 hours and not touch it for 4-5 months
