my 700r4 in my 2.8l camaro will not shift into high gear shifts 1 to 2 like its brand new but once i hit about 40 to 50 the rpms just go through the roof what could it be????????????? :cry:

trans is done. clutches are gone.

it only needs to last till the end of summer then the drivetrain is getting a 400 hrspw upgrade

It dosent matter how long you want it to last, it is in need of a full rebuild. Maybe you could call around to some junkyards? I couldnt really tell you I dont use junk parts, although, if you want the trans rebuilt I can help you with that.

I can drive car but it leaks a litle. mybe new clutches and seliniod

I think you have some misconception about how your transmission is put together. The clutches are inside the case , to get to them the trans has to come completly apart. The "seliniod" you are asking about has nothing to do with high gear engagement.

What you do is up to you. It would run in the $1000 range for me to rebuild it with you r&r the trans. That would include a new converter as long as your unit isnt too blown up.
If you just want to buy a rebuild kit call Summit or someone like that.
